Sea Monkey See Monkey Do

They're not monkeys and they don't live in the sea. So what is a sea monkey? Come learn all about these little critters and what it takes to raise them. We'll set up little sea monkey rearing chambers that you can take home.

In the Heart of the Shadow: the 2017 Solar Eclipse

An inside look at the recent Solar Eclipse, including lots of images and video from the center of the shadow. Explore the mechanics of what takes place during solar and lunar eclipses. Find out what scientists can only explore during an eclipse.

Math Activity Extravaganza

Come experience a multitude of cool, fun, and exciting math activities. Can you be the one who builds the tallest tower? How about building a pyramid the fastest? Can you build a bridge out of pasta that will hold 100 pennies? Let's see who can earn the title of "Activity Extravaganza Master"!

Reptiles: Slither and Hiss

Using live reptiles and artifacts we will explore the various adaptations reptiles have made to adapt to their environment. We will study the inside out perspective from observations of live animals to dissection of a preserved specimen.

Engineering for the Future

Tomorrow's astronauts, aerospace engineers, space colonist and space tourists have to get a start somewhere.....this session will do. Students will construct and launch rockets.

The Neuroscience of Vision

Illusions can be fascinating magic tricks, but also show how our mind and brain perceive the world. We will take a whirlwind tour of illusions of sight, sound and taste, experiencing the illusions and learning about the science behind them. Will include physics, psychology and neuroscience to explain why sometimes the world isn't as it seems.

Experience the Perfect Flip

Do you consider yourself a bottle flipping ninja? Can you guarantee the perfect landing every time? Come determine the probability of water bottle flipping and learn how to maximize your success!
